Q1: What is the difference between the M Cross and the M Plus mask?

The main difference between M Plus mask and the M Cross mask is their construction and appearance. Their filtration of 99.4% particulates, dust, pollen, etc. is the same.
A- M Cross mask is designed with an adjustable elastic strap used to wear at the top of the head, so as to release the pressure/ pain in your nose/ ears.
B- M Cross mask is designed with a slim adjustable elastic back strap compared with the M Plus mask, so as to reduce the coverage of the backstrap around your neck and avoid heat around the neck during hot Summer.

Q2: Do the filters need to be replaced, and if so, how often?

Yes, the activated carbon filters need to be replaceable after the time of usage.

The life expectancy of the BASE CAMP Filter depends on many variables, such as; particulate exposure density, particulate exposure duration, and user breathing rate. With that said, below are our general guidelines as the user will have the final call to give your exposure.

+ 20-30+hours of continuous use in heavy dust exposure to things such as grain bins, off-roading, construction/demolition, etc.
+ 30-40+hours of continuous use in light dust exposure to things such as grain bins, off-roading, construction/demolition, etc.
+ 50-60+hours of continuous use when protecting against allergens, pollutants, odors, etc.

Valves only need to be replaced if they become damaged or if a piece goes missing. They can be detachable to wash by hand when getting dirty.

The mesh face mask shell can be detachable to wash by hand when getting dirty. We recommend hand washing the shell with hand soap and warm water. Allow the mask to dry completely after washing before reinstalling the filter.

As long as you have the proper mask fit and have adjusted the nose piece to seal the breathable face mask around your nose. It will prevent fogging. Make you get rid of the concerns of glasses fogging while working.

Note: While the design of our dust mask makes every effort to prevent fogging in your glasses, we cannot promise 100% not fogging.
