I'm an artist and I work in A LOT of different mediums. I also like to make things from scratch - that means powdered pigments, glazes, dried clay, wood dust, plaster, powdered oxides - stuff that can cause nasty side effects over time. Finding the Base Camp mask has been great. It's super comfortable and easy to use. I'm pretty small, so I've got to tighten the velcro up all the way to get a good seal, but it works! It's so lightweight I can wear it for ages and it doesn't get in the way of doing fine detail stuff like mixing my own paint or carving. The "velcro" technology is awesome because it doesn't pull my hair out which is a huge BONUS. Coming into the Aussie summer I'm keen to see how lightweight and breathable it feels in the HEAT.
It’s ok, with the right tweaks you can get it to not fog up your glasses, but it’s certainly not easy at all. I feel like it’s a good starting point but not really a perfect design yet
